While coaching shares similar aspects of therapy and mentoring, coaching is quite different in several ways. Coaching focuses on the future, helping you set and achieve goals through self-discovery and action. Therapy often focuses on healing from the past. Whereas mentoring involves sharing advice and guidance based on the mentor’s expertise. Coaching, on the other hand, is fully client-centered and client-directed.
